During the month of February, and beginning into March at the Glendale Heights campus, we have been doing various Tricoci fundraising to raise support for Ronald McDonald House.

In February, we held a Hot Chocolate & Bake sale, had candy Valentine’s for purchase, and held a Jean Week, where students were allowed to wear jeans for the week for a cost. Plans for March include a shamrock sale and glitter tattoos!

Throughout March all campuses will be collecting donations for the Ronald McDonald House including, but not limited to, gift cards, toys and gifts for all ages, toiletries, household cleaning items, canned soups, garbage bags, paper towels, and individual-sized snacks. TUBC campuses will be using leap points as an incentive to excite the students to bring in items for donation. Here at the Glendale Heights campus, we already have one box full!

We have the privilege of teaming up with the Peoria campus and sponsor the Ronald McDonald House near University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital. This house opened its doors in September 1986, and since then have welcomed more than 7,700 families from across the world. We hope that through our donations and gifts, this house will thrive and continue to bless the community that it surrounds. We hope to continue to partner with them in the future.

Fundraising is a great opportunity for students to be involved in the community and become aware of the great organizations that surround us where we can help in practical ways.

We are hoping for great things in March as we collect items and are looking forward to the friendly competition between campuses. Go Glendale Heights!
