Crystal Baldazo has been a makeup enthusiast since the age of 5 when she first discovered blue eyeliner. During her early years, she took every opportunity available to wear whatever makeup she could get her hands on and she would also apply makeup to anyone that would let her. She never knew that doing makeup could be a career.
After working for several years in the transportation industry she decided that it was time to follow her passion and go to Cosmetology School, but when she went in to sign up she was made aware of another branch of the Beauty Industry which seemed to be more in line with her passion for makeup – so she enrolled in Esthetics school.
While enrolled in the esthetics program, she competed and placed in the IACS Student Bridal/Evening Makeup Competition. Upon completing the esthetics program, she then enrolled in the Teacher Training program so that she could help to make other’s dreams come true.
While she attended Teacher Training school, Crystal was able to further her education and her love of makeup by attending the Airbrush Academy. She is a certified Airbrush Makeup Artist who specializes in Beauty Makeup. One of her specialties is bridal makeup, she has beautified many brides over the years and her makeup services continue to be in great demand. Crystal is also certified in Airbrush Tanning, Eye Lash Extensions, and Dermaplaning.
Crystal became a Licensed Esthetics Instructor in 2008. She joined Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in 2011. The head of the Esthetics Department took notice of her talent and decided not to confine her to one campus, and instead put her in a position where she could support all of the campuses. During this time she was able to hone her skills as an Esthetics Teacher as she was constantly trouble shooting educational issues with students all across Tricoci University. She was promoted to Master Educator in 2012. She became an Education Supervisor at the Highland campus from 2013-2014. During her time as an Education Supervisor, she helped to mentor all the teachers at her campus and helped guide them in offering the very best education possible to their students. Crystal has also been trained in the Mindful Teaching PRO course that we teach to our teacher training students.
Since 2014 Crystal has been working as a Regional Master Educator going to all Tricoci University schools and helping teachers and students succeed. She trains all of the Esthetics new hires so that they are given the very best chance to succeed in their career with Tricoci University. She also checks in with all the teachers and offers support and advice on a continual basis. In 2015 Tricoci University named Crystal the Master Educator of the Year.
Crystal also organizes and maintains all Continuing Education classes and hours for all of Tricoci University as well as any Alumni and licensed professionals who attend TUBC CEU Classes.
As a result of her talent in makeup, Crystal was selected to be one of the makeup artists for several of Tricoci University’s Video/Photo shoots. She was also asked to help develop the new Makeup Program for Tricoci University. She will be one of the featured teachers of this program who will help train the next generation of makeup artists.
In 2016 Crystal joined the Design Team where she hopes to help students and teachers take their career to the next level.
