Learn the art and science of barbering at Tricoci University. Our Barber School and Barber Teacher programs immerse future barbers and professional barbers in an industry-current, engaging learning environment that emphasizes shop management as well as practical styling. Utilizing a blend of online coursework (delivered via an Apple iPad that is included in your student kit), in-class demonstrations, hands-on learning, and written examinations, we help you turn your passion for making others look good into marketable career skills. We also provide a 3-day-per-week Barber Teacher training program for experienced, licensed barbers who want to pass their skills on to a new generation of talent. With Tricoci University, you’ll be equipped to provide amazing service and pursue state licensure in Illinois or Indiana.
For new barbers, this 1,500-hour program teaches the art and science of styling men’s hair and providing skin care. 12 months full time, 20 months part time.
For students who have already passed a cosmetology program, this 500-hour program prepares you for a barber license in a reduced timeframe and at a reduced cost. 3 months full time, 6 months part time.
This 1,000-hour program, designed for early-career barbers, runs on a 3-days-per-week schedule so you can learn while you earn. 5 locations, 12 months part time.
For barbers with at least two years of experience and active licensure, this shorter version of the teacher program takes 600 hours or 7 months part time.
