In January 2016, the Danville beauty school of Concept College of Cosmetology merged with Tricoci University of Beauty Culture to continue building on its 68-year legacy. The Danville campus is located at 2500 Georgetown Road in Danville, IL near Gross’ Burgers. The Danville school currently offers our renowned cosmetology program.

Concept College of Cosmetology graduated hundreds of successful students that have gone on to have prosperous careers in the beauty industry in positions such as stylists, platform artists, educators, salon managers, salon owners, and more. Tricoci University of Beauty Culture is poised to offer the same kind of success to its students.

This stand-alone facility includes a large clinic/ salon area, theory room, dispensary, manicure and pedicure stations, lounges for students and guests, and several classrooms.

COSMETOLOGY

The most current, technically precise and versatile education available in the cosmetology training field today. Learn to become a Hairdresser, Hair Colorist, Cosmetologist, Stylist, Nail Technician, Make-up Artist, or Esthetician.

TEACHER TRAINING**

This 3 day per week schedule allows our students to continue to “earn while they learn” to be a teacher. Learn to become a Cosmetology Teacher.**

Financial Assistance

Federal student aid programs (i.e. Title IV) are available for students who qualify. A TUBC Financial Aid Coordinator can assist students with these programs and other financial assistance options to make Tricoci University as affordable as possible. Beauty History of Danville, IL

In 2017, the Miss Illinois was awarded to Danville resident, Abby Foster. She used the $10,000 scholarship award toward her tuition at nearby Ball State University, and she advanced to the semifinals in the Miss America pageant.

Danville resident Gigi Cunningham is changing the face of beauty. As a model who has Down syndrome, she’s made headlines, participated in fashion shows, and is currently a National Ambassador for Down Syndrome.

Former Danville resident, Dick Van Dyke, married makeup artist Arlene Silver in 2012. The romance blossomed while she was working as his dedicated makeup artist on the movie Murder 101.

Beauty Events of Danville, IL

Each summer at the county fair, a local beauty pageant crowns the Miss Vermilion County Fair Queen and the Junior Miss competition. In January, the annual Neuhoff Bridal Show gives beauty students an opportunity to see the latest in special event style. Students from Tricoci University will be part of the vendor showcase.

Get a taste of theatrical hair and makeup by attending a show or volunteering at a local theatre such as Red Mask Players, DLO Musicals, or The Darkhorse Theatre Company. Danville is home to the Beauty of Hope Benefit Pageant. Each spring, five age groups compete for a title in a beauty pageant that benefits the American Cancer Society.

Tricoci University student salons are a great way to experience high-level salon and spa services at very modest prices. Student salon guests can walk-in or call in advance for an appointment to enjoy these services—an appointment is highly recommended. For salon appointments, please call 217.442.9329.
