Hands-on training is the foundation of every program at Tricoci University’s Rogers Park campus. From your earliest weeks in the program, you’ll practice on mannequins, then on fellow students, then on real guests in our on-campus student-run salon and spa, building speed, consultation skills, and service confidence before graduation.
Our 7,000-square-foot campus features:
- Professional styling stations on the clinic salon floor
- Dedicated esthetics treatment rooms
- A full color dispensary stocked with professional-grade product
- Theory classrooms for instruction and demonstrations
- A student lounge for breaks between clinic floor shifts
As a Tricoci student in Rogers Park, you’ll perform real services on real guests, including:
- Haircuts, color services, and chemical treatments (cosmetology students)
- Facials, waxing, makeup application, and advanced skincare treatments (esthetics students)
- Consultation, retailing, and salon-floor business skills
Specialized Clinic Days:
- Model Days, students perform services on models in salon-style sessions
- Friends & Family Days, guests visit campus for discounted services delivered by students under supervision
- Clinic Spa Days, full-service days combining hair, skin, and makeup services in a real-salon flow

Cosmetology Program
Launch your career in the heart of Chicago’s diverse beauty scene. Our cosmetology school offers a comprehensive program that prepares you for success as a stylist, colorist, makeup artist, or skincare professional. Complete your training in as little as 10 months full-time, or choose our flexible part-time schedule with evening classes over 17 months. Tricoci’s 1,500-hour Cosmetology program meets Illinois state licensure requirements and is approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
Esthetician Program
Master the art and science of skincare in our state-of-the-art esthetics facility. Learn advanced techniques in facial treatments, professional makeup application, and body services. Graduate ready to work in just 5 months full-time or 9 months part-time. Tricoci’s 750-hour Esthetics program meets Illinois Esthetician licensure requirements and prepares graduates to sit for the state board exam.

Accreditation, Licensure & What It Means for Your Career
Accreditation
Tricoci University of Beauty Culture is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS). NACCAS accreditation means our Rogers Park programs meet the federal standards required for Title IV financial aid eligibility (FAFSA), and our coursework is recognized by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations for cosmetology and esthetician licensure.
State Licensure Preparation
Our programs at the Rogers Park campus prepare you for licensure with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR):
- Cosmetology License (Illinois), 1,500 hours of training required
- Esthetician License (Illinois), 750 hours of training required
What This Means for Employers
- Verified credentials. Chicago salons, spas, and med spas hire licensed cosmetologists and estheticians. A NACCAS-accredited program plus Illinois state licensure is the credential employers verify on day one.
- License portability. Illinois licenses transfer through reciprocity with many other states, giving Tricoci graduates regional career mobility.
- Federal financial aid eligibility. Pell Grants, federal student loans, and other Title IV programs are only available through NACCAS-accredited schools.

Role Progression
