The Elgin Campus is the newest location in the Tricoci University stable of beauty schools, and as such, it has all of the facilities and amenities you might expect from such a state-of-the-art school. Found just off of Randall Road and U.S. Route 20 (Lake Street), approximately two miles south of I-90, our campus is easy to find for students and guests from the surrounding northwest suburbs (such as Carpentersville, Bartlett, West Dundee, Streamwood, Gilberts and Crystal Lake).

Redefine the Beauty Industry
The Elgin campus offers a cosmetology program that is technically precise, versatile, and challenging, preparing students for a successful career in hairdressing, nail artistry, makeup artistry or esthetics.
- Full Time – (37.5 Hours/Week) 10-12 Months
- Part Time – (22.5 Hours/Week) 17-20 Months
Our esthetics course is designed to give students a scientific understanding of the needs, properties and functions of skin, as well as the practical skills to treat and care for it. With our help, you could learn to become a Facialist, Waxing Specialist, Body Treatment Specialist, Medi-Spa Esthetician or Make-up Artist.
- Full Time – (37.5 Hours/Week) 5-6 Months
- Part Time – (22.5 Hours/Week) 9 Months

Our new campus in Elgin has many amazing features. Alongside practical and theory learning spaces, our library and student facilities, there is a high-quality salon and spa space for guests.
All of our student salons provide an excellent opportunity to experience high-level salon and spa services at modest prices; our student team is supervised by experienced beauty industry experts to ensure a safe and successful experience for both guests and students. Student salon guests can walk in or call in advance for an appointment to enjoy these services.

Beauty History of Elign, IL
Elgin, IL, has a unique and interesting beauty history. For example, in 1938, Elgin local Arlene Warner was named the “queen of beauty” as she presided over the opening ceremonies of the Elgin Time Observatory at the New York World’s Fair.
The Elgin History Museum, too, frequently highlights and showcases the styles and fashions in local history. There have been displays of locally worn prom dresses from the 1930s, and pocket watch exhibitions from the local manufacturer, Elgin National Watch Company.
Over the years, Elgin has been home to several beauty pageant winners like Miss Illinois 1969 Dulcie Scripture and Miss Illinois 1925 Lucille Burns. Elgin has always had a strong beauty culture!
The Elgin’s This Is It! Hair World has regularly made headlines as a beauty supply store that caters to all ethnicities. Although they sell hair products, wigs and hair extensions, shop owner Sandra Annan says they are actually selling confidence (and we think that’s a beautiful thing).

For example, there are several local beauty pageants that can give you a first-hand look at the hair, makeup and styles that are favored by beauty queens. Most notable is the Mrs. Illinois-America Pageant, which is held at the Hemmens Cultural Center.
The Midwest Vintage Clothing, Jewelry & Textile Show in Elgin is another annual event that beauty professionals should take advantage of. More than 75 collectors and designers from all around the world showcase an eclectic mix of styles at this event, making it an enlightening day.

You can attend the 1,500-hour cosmetology program, which is available full-time from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or part-time 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on a day schedule.
