When not in the salon at The Mane Event, Jeremiah teaches nights at his alma mater mentoring and inspiring the next generation of amazing cosmetologists.As a Local 476 Journeymen Hair Stylist, Jeremiah has had the pleasure of working with numerous celebrities in locally filmed movies and television shows. His most recent credits include Showtime’s hit series Shameless, NBC’s Crisis, and various other films and commercials. In his free time, Jeremiah enjoys cooking and spending time with his wife and their two rescue dogs Ally and Chloe!
The Mane Event Inc. was founded in 1980 in the nearby suburb of Norridge, IL. After serving the Norridge community for 23 years, the salon’s founder decided to embark on a new chapter in The Mane Event’s history by relocating to Rosemont, IL in June 2003. Since then, the salon has grown to be a staple in the Rosemont business community with its prime location in the heart of one of the busiest buildings in the area, as well as it’s close proximity to all Rosemont hotels, O’Hare International Airport, and the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
We are a full-service hair salon that takes pride in the work we do with hopes that all of our guests leave feeling like part of the family. There are currently four fully licensed Cosmetologists, one expert Barber, and one fully licensed Nail Technician here to meet all of your beauty needs. Each stylist’s station is semi-private with built in shampoo bowls so you never have to leave your chair and don’t have to feel on display while we work our magic! We use top of the industry color line, Schwarzkopf exclusively because it’s a product we believe in and the results speak for themselves. The hair care products we use include Paul Mitchell, Aquage, Redken, and La Brasiliana for those fantastic keratin treatments we all love! The salon currently only accepts cash and check as a method of payment, but there is an ATM conveniently located right outside our door.
As of November 2014, the salon was purchased by longtime employee Melissa and her business partner and daughter Vanessa. Together with the help of their family, loyal employees, and wonderful clientele they are bringing The Mane Event into the 21st century with the introduction of technologies such as social media and this website designed by Melissa’s son Josh. For those longtime clients of ours, you know what a big deal this is and we are excited to have you all along for the next chapter of our journey!
