My experience at Tricoci University of Beauty Culture has been great. I really enjoy being a student here at Tricoci. It is definitely a great school. I chose Tricoci the second they called me; I was excited to become a cosmetologist. It was a childhood dream, and it still is a big dream for me. The minute I walked through those doors they welcomed me with open arms. Everyone was so nice, I just couldn’t believe it. It definitely made me feel special. The teachers, the students, and the entire staff are amazing.
I joined Tricoci October 10, 2011 and was I excited! As time passed, I learned a lot of new and great exciting trends for hair, like the latest styles and the older styles. I learned to cut hair in different ways. I especially love the long layered haircut and the graduated bob. We’ve learned the basics of a manicure and pedicure; the pedicures are the best. They teach you facials and hair coloring, as well. We learn how to formulate hair color; I never knew there were so many interesting things to know about hair color. You learn the complementary colors and what colors best suit your client.
Most of all, I love the professionalism. They teach you how to be professional, so when you go out into the real world you know how to present yourself. You learn how to talk in a professional manner, and how to respect your client or guest. Your first impression on your client or guest is very important because they get to see what kind of person you are and how professional you are. Make your guest feel that you are confident at what you are doing. Greet them in a very professional manner, talk to them, let them know what they should and should not do with their hair, give them tips on how to treat their hair, let them know what products you use and how much they should use. Ask questions. Teach guest about everything you do while they are in your chair so they would know how to do this at home. You learn how to sell products as well as yourself, in other words, how to keep the client.
Overall, Tricoci University has a very great curriculum and everything is well organized. I would like to thank Tricoci University for giving me such a wonderful experience and an opportunity to become part of the Tricoci family!!
